CAL-ALHFA Webinar Series
CAL-ALHFA introduced its highly successful webinar series with webinars on Density Bonus Law, the Surplus Lands Act, and State Energy Programs. CAL-ALHFA plans to expand these webinars to six webinars.
State/Local Working Groups
Like the newly created Surplus Lands Act working group, CAL-ALHFA and HCD are creating ad hoc stakeholder meetings which include CAL-ALHFA members and state officials negotiating the complexities of complying with state laws and preserving local independence and control.
CAL-ALHFA Training Institutes
The Training Institutes will provide new training opportunities especially designed for local officials and staff to learn the fundamentals of affordable housing development, finance, and compliance. These Training Institutes will be similar to those provided by the now-dissolved California Redevelopment Association.
Tracking legislation, primarily at the state level, on topics including single family housing development; multifamily financing and development; monitoring and compliance; and housing element, environmental and land use law.
