The City of Santa Monica is recruiting for a Senior Human Services Analyst with a focus on homelessness and housing retention policy and programs.  We are seeking an energetic and collaborative individual to support the City’s efforts to address the regional homelessness crisis. The job will involve monitoring policy changes at the federal and regional levels and assessing for local impacts, liaising with regional partners, monitoring grants and providing technical assistance to support local program implementation and budgeting. The ideal candidate for this job will be a motivated and strategic self-starter with excellent written and oral communications skills.

Santa Monica has long been a leader in compassionate, humane and effective interventions to reduce homelessness. Addressing the impacts of homelessness in Santa Monica requires the coordination of efforts across numerous City departments, community-based organizations, the business community and regional partners. Coordination occurs on multiple levels, from direct service delivery to policy and planning. Santa Monica’s sustained investments of land, capital funding, operational support, and significant political will have fostered a dynamic, comprehensive service system that provides an array of emergency services, case management, treatment, and housing options.
